Abstract : The study aims at creating designs which combine between tradition and contemporary of tourist properties in kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A). The study answer the following question: how can a designer create interior design which combine tradition and contemporary of tourist buildings in kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A)? The researcher uses analytic method of local lore in (K.S.A). In addition, she presents modern styles of interior design of tourist properties locally and internationally. The researcher has visited local and international museums and hotels which have touches of tradition in order to have photos of reception areas as samples for important internal spaces in tourism properties to learn the philosophy of design. She has made a number of interviews with eye witnesses in order to achieve historical information about tradition with which the study is concerned. The researcher came out with two applied projects; a project with (Najad) central region style and a project with (Hejazi) western region style. The project is to design reception space in a tourism property (Riyadh Four Season Hotel) as a sample for the interaction between Interior Design Philosophy and Modern Architecture, to come up with a contemporary space that has a symbolic traditional space. The researcher came up with number of recommendation; one of which is the importance of studying the local style of the city or the region before starting the design of a tourist property, in order to maintain the identity and the legacy of the area.
