:
The research aims to study the appropriate Architectural design of the apartments for the housing needs of the Saudi families in Jeddah : The problem of the study is to answer the following question: What is the appropriate Design Architectural for ownership apartments to the housing needs of the Saudi family in Jeddah? And the study relied on analytical and descriptive approach which was applied to a Deliberate sample of 201 from Saudi families. The researcher prepared the following tools in order to achieve the objectives of the study: a general statements form of the family, housing unit data questionnaire, appropriate Design Architectural questionnaire of the on the housing spaces needs for the family, Aquestionnaire of the most important housing unit problems. And the most important findings of the researcher that the Architecture of the apartments fit moderately with all the housing needs of the family, and there are significant differences in ratings of overall Architecture design for apartments that dued to the differences of the three residential sectors, also she found that there were no Statistically significant differences appropriate in the degrees of Architecture design apprpriateness to the need for comfort and stability that were attributed to differences in the three sectors, while there were significant differences in the degrees of Architecture design appropriateness to the needs of internal security, safety and acceptance of others and appreciation of self-realization and they were attributed to the lack of spaces dedicated to children games and the misuse of services and facilities by some residents as well as the lack of a system to isolate sounds and noise between residential units. The researcher has recommended to educate families about the importance of good planning when you want to buy a residential unit and consider the needs of its members in light of the available possibilities and future needs and there must be a specialized governmental organization to organize housing unit affairs so that it could be the legal authority to resolve disputes and application of private laws of ownership systems in Saudi Arabia.
